Gary Wells
Chairman & MD
Gary Wells is a well-qualified design engineer with experience in sales and marketing, project co-ordination and General Management. He has an HNC in mechanical engineering, qualifications in the use of AutoCAD, and is a member of the Institute of Engineering Designers and the Engineering Council. GK Design, have been affiliate members of the Confederation of Construction Specialists for over 10 years.
Chris Dockley
Technical Manager
Chris has an ONC in Building Studies and City and Guilds Certificates in CAD draughting and design. He has been with GK Design since 1994. Chris is proficient in the use of AutoCAD, is highly knowledgeable in glazing technology, and has completed a number of 3D design concepts for new products.
Alex McHale
Senior Project Designer
Alex has a well-established broad experience of Engineering and Design related disciplines, and has been instrumental in some high profile projects, with considerable experience of manufacture and design in related industries. Alex also has advanced experience with 3D modeling and has progressed through study to gain an HNC in mechanical and production engineering.
Graham Northwood
Senior Project Designer
Graham & Gary have worked together since 1989. He has City and Guilds Certificates as a Mechanical Engineering Technician. Graham has extensive experience of team leadership with particular regard to Curtain wall and fenestration environments. He was hugely instrumental in the success of the Gatwick North terminal, Broadgate, Ismali Centre, and Abbey House.
Paul French
Project Designer
Paul joined the GK Design team in November 2004. He is qualified with a BEng (Hons) in Engineering and Design. He has experience of Finite Element Analysis using SDRC-Ideas, and design using AutoCAD 2D and 3D. Since graduating from university in 2002, Paul has been instrumental in various engineering projects involving manufacturing technology and design.
Sub-Contract Resources
Additionally GK Design has 5 experienced designers that work remotely, on an 'as and when needed' basis. GK Design have a very structured in-house Drawing Office procedure, and this system ensures that ALL work carried out remotely is issued to the HQ and is thoroughly checked before it is issued for client approval.
